Life Transitions

Relationship breakdown

Separation, divorce, limited time with kids, property settlement, parenting arrangements, or family court. Counselling helps with the practical decisions and the emotional load, so you’re not facing it alone.

Alcohol, drugs, or compulsive behaviour

You might still be using, thinking about change, trying to cut down, or newly stopped. Substance use or a compulsive behaviour can take over health, relationships, work, and judgement. Left alone, it often gets worse, and it can cost people their lives.

If you’re still using, unsure, or only thinking about change, counselling helps you work out what the substance or behaviour is doing in your life and what you actually want. If you’re planning a change or already stopping, counselling focuses on practical next steps and the day-to-day work of early recovery. It sits alongside any other supports you have.

Career change

Redundancy, a role that no longer fits, a forced reset, or the quieter question underneath: what is all this work and stress actually for?  Where work has ended or been taken away, counselling helps you steady yourself through that loss.
Counselling can also be a place to search for a more meaningful and spiritually satisfying life, even when that is still unclear.

Ageing parents

You’re carrying care decisions, appointments, family tension, and your own life at the same time. Counselling gives space to talk it through, set limits where you can, and look after your own needs while you care for theirs.

When the usual ways of coping no longer work and life leaves you flat, anxious, angry, or hopeless, structured counselling can help you rebalance and move forward.

Mind

Unpack overwhelm and build practical tools for real pressure. Change  thinking patterns, triggers, and day-to-day decisions that keep tipping you over.

Body

Notice how stress shows up physically. Work with sleep, diet, exercise, and simple grounding so the body can settle, not just the mind.

Connection

Rebuild trust and reduce isolation without having to pretend you’re fine. Develop stronger relationships, honesty, and the capacity to ask for help when you need it.

Meaning

Clarify what actually matters now, beyond getting through the day. Find your values, purpose, and what “better” looks like for you.

How We Work

Work starts with a clear assessment, then a defined pathway, so you know what you’re committing to and why.

What first steps look like

1. Discovery call:
a short, confidential conversation to see if this is the right fit.

2. Initial assessment ($200):
a 90-minute session to map what’s going on and recommend a pathway (or a referral if you’re better served elsewhere).

3. 6-Week Foundation ($900):
six weekly sessions to stabilise and do the focused work.

4. Ongoing partnership ($150 per session):
continued support after the 6-Week Foundation, or after a recognised treatment program finished in the last 12 months.
